"Cannabis has played a significant role in my life since high school. As I navigated anxiety and severe stomach issues, cannabis was the only remedy that gave me any relief. Unfortunately, when I was 18, I was charged with possession. A year later, I was charged with a cannabis felony. The felony impacted nearly everything in my life including landing a reliable job and my public image. Despite the odds, I succeeded in customer service for many years and just this past year, expunged my record. Through all of this, I still felt I was destined to work with cannabis and educate others of the extensive benefits it provides. In 2021, my mom Rory was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and given six months to live. After beating cancer twice and living to 74 with two grandchildren, a loving family, and many friends, my mom decided against treatment. She was, understandably, tired of fighting. She didn’t want to fill her body with chemo and pharmaceutical drugs for a third time. While my mom was ill, she took Rick Simpson Oil (RSO) capsules which substantially improved her quality of life. Because of cannabis, she was able to eat and avoid periods of pain until the day she passed. We lost my mom on July 11th, 2021. After experiencing the medical benefits of cannabis both first and second-hand, I felt compelled to participate in the cannabis industry. In the same year, my family and I moved to Maine and began to build our business, Rory Farms, LLC, in honor of my mom."
