Here in Maine, you can start to feel the crisp in the air which can only mean one thing. Fall is well on its way. Fall for the Cannabis scene is a very special time of the year, with outdoor harvests taking place and tons of great Cannabis Events going on! It’s a perfect time for everyone to get together and celebrate before Winter comes and everyone “highbernates” at home.
Before Fall officially arrives there are a few events that are taking place you really won’t want to miss. Coming up this weekend on Saturday August 24th is The Culture Cup Awards along with the 5th Reggae Garden of the year. The Culture Cup presented by Hidden Forest Farms is bringing together truly an epic number of talented growers from all around the area. If you are a Hash connoisseur don’t miss this event or you will end up regretting it.
The Reggae Garden is known for putting on great Reggae shows with good vibes all around and #5 is no different featuring live performances by Richie Spice the Green Lion Crew, DJ Luke & DJ Bobby Steelz. Happening from 5-10pm at the very beautiful Arrowheads Estate in Cape Neddick Maine.
Then coming up on September 14th the second Mountain Mayhem will be going down
presented by The Stoner Show & Hiker Trash. Mountain Mayhem is teaming up with Ride To
Recovery to make this event truly something special for the community.
We all have been affected by addiction whether directly or indirectly to those who have never touched a drug in their life there is truly no escaping this harsh reality we all face together. You could be just going to grab a drink from a gas station and end up walking into an overdosed attendant. It just happened to me the other day, thankfully it wasn’t a child who had witnessed that. Multiple people walked out never asking him if he was okay or calling an ambulance.
Ride to Recovery is an annual ride dedicated to raising money for addiction centers and
helping bring people together to remember our brothers & sisters who have lost their battles with addiction and those who are currently in their battles. As I mentioned earlier the addiction epidemic has affected everyone even those who have never touched a drug in their life. Ride to Recovery welcomes everyone including those who have lost loved ones, who know people facing struggle.
One of the most important things for those who are in recovery is a strong sense of community and The Mountain Mayhem brings that. Located in beautiful Gilead, Maine you can spend a day relaxing in the mountains of Maine enjoying great views and some of Maine’s finest Cannabis from a ton of great growers. Catch a Vibe will be playing live music for everyone to enjoy. Another thing that is really cool about The Mountain Mayhem is it’s located next to a horse farm. So, you can go say hello to the horses. If that sounds lame, you need to go take an extremely heavy dose of edibles and go “rediscover the wonders of nature!”

While not taking place in Maine the next event has a long history in New England and is a very special event. Happening on Saturday September 21st at the Boston Commons is the 35th annual Boston Freedom Rally. Just because Cannabis is legal, and you can go buy a recreational 8th for $65 dollars doesn’t mean Cannabis has its freedom. If anything, the current legalization has brought a whole new wave of restrictions limiting not only the freedom but also the true potential of Cannabis and its ability to help the world in so many different ways.
It’s now more important than ever for us to unite together and stand up for Cannabis and the common good of all and not what best interests ourselves. We are living during the time when Cannabis history is being written in front of our eyes and every day we can make a difference to ensure its future freedom for all and not left restricted to just a few corporations.
They have proven they don’t want you to be able to grow your own Cannabis they want you to be forced to buy theirs which is why currently 19 states that have “legal” medical cannabis don’t allow patients to grow their own medicine. By having control over the market patients are forced to pay ludicrous fees and are unable to afford the proper amount of medicine needed. Instead, being left with an additional anxiety to deal with knowing there is a relief out there and their own insurance can’t even legally cover it.
We are beyond proud to be hosting The Maine Cannabis Fair happening at Stonehedge from 10 am – 10pm with overnight camping available on site. This will be the inaugural year and will feature a day and night of fun. Come get the chance to meet the Cannabis Farmers of Maine and get to ask questions, shop directly for the freshest medicine possible at the Pharma’s Market happening from 10 am – 6 pm at Stonehedge.
Watch art be made in front of your own stoned red eyes with live art demonstrations and an artist’s vendors section. When the munchies inevitably kick in, come participate in the “Munchie Off” and grab a delicious, stoned bite to eat at one of the food trucks. There will also be non-medicated snacks available at the Treat Booth.
The Maine Cannabis Fair features educational seminars with talented and dedicated members of their respected fields on topics such as how to grow your own Medical Cannabis with Stephen of Seaside Medical & Genetics. Learn how to wash that Medical Cannabis you grew and the basics of Solventless Extracts with Ryan of High Striker Farm. Who will also be giving a live Solventless Extraction demonstration.
You know you’re tired of that high grocery bill! For food that’s not even tasty, nor good for you. You wouldn’t smoke mids, so why eat them? Learn The Importance of Healthy Eating and what you can do in your everyday life & How to Grow Your Own Food at Home with Chef Andrew, who also owns the Cannabis Farm Dungeon Valley Cannabis.
Now that’s what I call a trifecta on self-sustainability. You can learn to grow your own Medical Cannabis, you will then how to extract it right at home. Then learn how to cut down that ridiculously high grocery bill and grow your own food at home. All of this included with the price of admission. This community truly wants to help spread love and good vibes the world desperately needs, and education in a consumable down to earth form plays a big factor.
There will also be of course classic fair style raffles, and giveaways throughout the event. The Maine Cannabis Fair will also feature lawn games and community-based activities.
When the sun starts to go down the live entertainment begins. Featuring live stand-up comedy acts and live music there will be something for everyone! We have announced one stand-up comedy act so far, the very funny Zach Gobeil.
For those who want to get spooky the 9th annual Haunted Community Bonfire is happening on October 5th. The annual Halloween version of the Community Bonfire is known for being a good time for all and will host a ton of great Maine growers. If you like Halloween and horror themed stuff + Weed then the chances are you will really like this event.
This list will be updated as more events pop up. If you are aware of any events please reach out to us through the contact form. Remember these events are constantly being threatened, much like the Craft Cannabis Farmers the Government wants to limit Cannabis and not truly make it legal. We must all collectively unite and stand together for the greater common good for all and not just what benefits ourselves.
