Does Mandatory Test Results Lead To Radioactive Weed?

I will never post click bait, so if that's what you think the title is then buckle up because it's going to be a ride. Mandatory testing, it sounds so great on the surface. Who wouldn't want their medical/recreational flower or concentrates to be tested for pesticides, molds or other contaminants and to see what percent terpenes it is. But what consumers don't understand is that there is no regulation on these testing companies. They are free to put whatever they want on the percentage labels, which is why you will see up to 40% on flower results which is just impossible. The companies will always favor the labs who are sending back the highest report, which in return incentivises labs to push out higher results. Another reason not to just go into a dispensary and ask for the highest THC%.

At this point you may be asking yourself what does any of this have to do with smoking radioactive weed. When a company is growing on a commercial scale and they run into pests or powdery mildew they aren't always willing to sacrifice a harvest. Sometimes they aren't willing to even clean up their grow and change their SOPS (standard operating procedures). They just want to keep pushing this stuff out as fast as possible and cash in. So they invest into a machine like the SteriRad. Which radiates the flower inside and makes it passable for microbe and bacteria testing, and leaves you with a sad product. The larger the grow the more likely this is happening, as people with a manageable size grow can actually eliminate the problems and prevent future ones from happening.

Mandatory results in theory sound nice, but much like everything else greed takes control and it becomes a mess. The answer? Know your grower and you don't got a thing to worry over! Or better yet plant your seeds and have near unlimited weed.
