Getting medicated/stoned, it's what we are all trying to do. So the idea of 93% THC distillate is very tempting, but it truly won't get you as medicated as if it's in its natural state being with other cannabinoid compounds like CBD and CBG and Terpenes. Distillate is only THC and contains no other cannabinoids or terpenes. The various cannabinoids and terpenes are why strains all have their unique properties, some are great at relieving munchies while others are going to make you feel creative. Everyone is different biologically and mentally so we feel strains differently. Which makes it a little difficult to truly get an exact match on what strain will work for the individual.
High THC % is all the new rage, and while the THC % definitely matters to an extent it's not the only thing that matters. It's important to keep this in mind while making your purchases. If you are looking to dab a nice Concentrate look for a nice full spectrum extract like Rosin or a Live Badder. When buying flower keep in mind that 32% THC on flower A may be more than 26% on flower B, the flower B has a more diverse cannabinoid content and will create a more powerful experience.
If you are shopping for edibles be sure to ask what kind of extract it's made from, and if it's made from multiple sources. The most powerful edibles are RSO and anything made with full spectrum extracts because they contain diverse cannabinoids and a high THC%. Distillate edibles are known to give headaches and undesirable highs. Distillate itself is known to be made from low end material and can be contaminated with lots of pesticides and molds. It is also much cheaper than say Rosin and the savings are not passed on to the consumers.
A side note is if you don't like the different feelings of cannabis strains and want something straightforward and consistent distillate may be what you want, it's going to have a very consistent high but you will get a tolerance to it quite quickly. You could also hypothetically mix it with other isolates to get a somewhat full spectrum extract. Just be sure to get it from a clean source.
