Hello and welcome! Thanks for being here and giving the community the opportunity to get to know you better. Please introduce yourselves.
Hello, thank you for including us! We are Corey and Janelle LaPlante.
Corey, Janelle and their dog Scooter!
Tastefully Baked is an awesome name, what is the story behind it?
Thank you! I would love to say it came to me quickly, but that wasn’t the case. Back in 2016, when there were very few cannabis brands in the country, let alone Maine, I wanted something clever. I was aiming for a name that played with words, felt relatable and hinted at
cannabis without relying on the usual terms associated with it.
What is your history with Cannabis?
Cannabis has been a part of our lives for quite some time. In Corey’s late teenage years, he found it to be a much better alternative to the adderall he was prescribed. When we met he had recently started cultivating his own. We were in the traditional market for quite some time. After we won our legal case in New Hampshire, we moved to Maine in hopes of doing what we enjoy in a legal manner.
Maine has become a Haven for Cannabis Refugees such as Corey and Janelle.
I myself am also a Cannabis Refugee who moved to Maine from New Hampshire.
Any favorite strains from back in the day?
Of course! It’s hard to pick a few: Northern Lights x Blueberry, Headband, LA Woman (Martian Mean Green x LA Confidential) UK Cheese, Sour Diesel
Favorite thing about Cannabis?
Our favorite thing about cannabis is its ability to bring people together from all walks of life.
While Tastefully Baked primarily focuses on making Edibles, you guys are also the ones growing the flower that turns into the extracts that go into the edibles. Making Tastefully Baked a single source edible kitchen something that is very rare in the industry. What are Tastefully Baked current growing methods?
Currently our growing methods consist of both hydroponics and organic soil. We have grown many different ways over the years, soil, aeroponics, deep water culture etc… and find they all have their own benefits and drawbacks.

Any new strains patients can look excited about?
We’re on our first run with the Strawberry Sorbet pheno we selected, and we’re thrilled about the hash it produced. The fresh, sweet candy notes are absolutely delicious. Currently, we’re hunting for Confidential Kosher, and if it’s anything like its parent strains, we’re sure to find a knockout.
By Tastefully Baked growing your own flower you guys are able to control and maintain the quality of the starting material of your edible and passing the cost savings onto your patients. Can you explain the importance of starting material to patients?
Great question! Growing our own flower allows us to directly control the quality of the extract used in our products. Right from the start, we know it's pesticide-free, which is extremely important to us. Cannabis, like other plants, degrades over time, causing cannabinoids to convert. This can lead to a concentrate high in CBN, which some people prefer but may not be the desired outcome for everyone. By using the freshest material possible, we ensure our extract retains maximum THC content, giving us the quality and consistency we’re proud to offer.
Tastefully Baked Proudly Keeps Production In-House

It's On All Of Us To Do Our Part In Making Sure We Are Doing What We Can To Prevent This. Our Cheap Sweet Treats We Don't Truly Need Shouldn't Be Coming From A Childs or Slave Labor.
