Hello and welcome! Thanks for being here and giving the community the opportunity to get to know you better. Please introduce yourself.
Happy and thankful for the opportunity! My name is Devin and I have been working on developing my knowledge and experience into what it is today for the better part of 10 years.
Terp Valley Farms is an awesome name, how did you come up with it?
Terp Valley originally stems from an underground brand of sorts that I started a while back. I grew up in a place nicknamed "The Valley" and I started a brand called Terp Valley. From there it developed into Terp Valley Farms when we bought our new property and started cultivating outdoors and in a greenhouse. I also truly believe in the power of terpenes when paired with cannabinoids as medicine. One of my favorite things about this plant is each strains unique and complex terp profiles.
What’s something you think new Medical Cannabis patients need to know?
True quality craft cannabis is worth seeking out. Find the growers who are in it for the right reasons and not just a dollar. You and your health will be thankful for it.
What is your history with Cannabis?
My history with cannabis started around 14-15 years old, when my older brother introduced me to it. As I got older I learned about the story of Charlotte Figi and the Stanley Brothers. If you don’t know the story, definitely look it up. This is what inspired me to get even more heavily involved. From there I started studying growing, cannabis history, and moved out to Michigan briefly for an opportunity to grow full time. After that I managed a dispensary and ran an advocacy company. When I finally saved up enough to start my own grow and brand I made the jump. Welcome to Terp Valley
What are Terp Valley Farm grow methods?
Our current grow methods are indoor, greenhouse and outdoor cultivation using organic living soil.
Current strains that Terp Valley Farm has in its rotation?
Super Boof, Sour Donuts, Sherb Mintz, Wedding Pie, Widow Cake
Are there any new strains that patients can get excited about?
We’re building out a new grow and will be growing some truly unique strains. We’re super excited for these next runs! Without giving it away we’ll be growing genetics most people haven’t heard of yet. Truly unique strains with complex terp profiles.
Favorite strains from back in the day?
Grand Daddy Purp, Ak-47, White Widow, Cheese, Real Sour D, Skywalker OG, SFV OG, OG Kush
Do you have a “the cut that got away” story?
I actually don’t up until this point. Our grow is relatively small at this point so we don't have the ability to keep as many genetics as we would like, run to run. The last run of Super Boof was definitely a winner. Straight orange creamsicle terps with a complex finish.
Terp Valley Farms not only grows Cannabis but is also a delivery service based in Central Maine that offers products from various quality Maine Cannabis companies. What companies do you guys currently work with?
The HoneyComb Farm, Pine Tree Apothecary, Zero Gravity Cannabis, Five Point Farms, Method Maine, King Custy’s Kitchen, Mighty Viking, Sugar Leaf Co and will be working with more soon.
Jared (@YourAverageCannabisGuy) and you threw the inaugural “Not Your Average Cannabis Festival” this year. It was truly an awesome day and we at ILoveMeWeed are very proud to have been the Media Sponsor and were able to capture the day and all the fun and good times that were had by everyone. Do you have a favorite moment from the festival?
The event was awesome. I was happy to be a part of it. I really enjoyed bringing together the music for the event and being able to see the event really come together. Everyone who attended from the vendors to the patients had a great time. I think my favorite part was seeing the vendors do their thing, interacting with the community and showing patients their craft.
Can people start to get excited about the next Not Your Average Cannabis Festival next year?
To be announced...
Will Terp Valley Farms be attending any events in the near future?
The next events we will be at will be the Community Bonfire and Sugar Leaf Cos' Croptober Fest
Closing Thoughts / Feel Free to Add Anything Else
I'm excited to be a part of the Maine cannabis community, one that fights for their rights and the rights of patients. I'm looking forward to growing with the community. Excited to start working with more stores to offer our flower, concentrates and more to more patients, in different areas of the state.
