Hello and welcome! Thanks for being here and allowing the community to get to know you better.

What is your history with Cannabis?

I've been on a journey with cannabis for over five years now. It all started when I turned 18 and began using it recreationally. I noticed It helped me to manage my anger issues, anxiety, depression, and work-related pain. Initially, it was just a weekend relief, but quickly, it became a daily medicine for me. When COVID-19 hit in 2020 and I faced new health challenges, including difficulty accessing traditional healthcare due to pandemic restrictions, cannabis remained my reliable source of relief. Despite facing misdiagnosis and mistreatment, it continued to provide more relief than traditional pharmaceuticals.

This experience ignited a passion within me to break stigmas surrounding cannabis through education. I started my journey in the industry as a Budtender, navigating both the medical and adult-use markets. It was there that I discovered my love for cultivation.

Favorite thing about Cannabis?

My favorite thing about using cannabis is the full body muscle relief it can give me.

My favorite thing about the plant itself is the final 2-3 weeks before harvest. The vibrant color fades that can come out can be truly beautiful to experience. It's also when I find the most calm not only in the garden, but in life. I recommend everyone experience growing their own cannabis

Any strains you always try to keep in the stash?

Not really! I usually rotate and keep the variety fresh, but I am always looking for something with Ice Cream Cake, or Z in it

Who are some of your favorite Maine growers?

It is so hard to choose, almost everyone who joined in on the fest makes it into my Top Tier list. Three standouts are Weaving Genetics, Dolph Craft, and Art & Craft

You are throwing the second annual Not Your Average Cannabis Festival along with Terp Valley Farms on June 15th with overnight camping available. What is the Not Your Average Cannabis festival about and what can people look forward to?

Focused on fostering community connections and destigmatizing medical cannabis use. Our event provides a safe and inclusive space for Maine and out-of-state medical patients to come together, try new products, and engage with caregivers. Empowering patients to become more educated in their cannabis use. By offering activities such as bring-your-own-glass sessions, product sampling, vendors, meet and greets, and opportunities for networking. With this we aim to empower our community members, support local caregivers, and promote awareness of the benefits of Maine medical cannabis.

For this one you can also expect Live Music, Live Glassblowing, Food Trucks, Hammock area, Cornhole, on-site Med Cards, and more being planned!

The Not Your Average Cannabis festival is a bring your own glass festival which means there will be some nice heady pieces there. Who are a few of your favorite glass artists?

Chaka is one of my favorites. I'm a sucker for blue, and love almost every different tech I've seen him do. Danny Camp is another who makes some truly insane heady glass.

Mohawk has been doing some clean tubes functioning with perfection. I could go on and on...

Chaka Marbles From Our Farm To Patient #3 Event Recap

What were some of your favorite moments from the first festival?

The first one was such a blur! I enjoyed having a day to spend with my friends and my community

You currently are a caregivers assistant for Honey Chrome Canna. What are the current grow methods?

We are constantly evolving things at Honey Chrome. We mainly grow with Flora Flex nutrients with added organic compost teas and inoculants, with a goal to replace this grow method soon. We also started two living soil beds with a focus on organic inputs.

What are some staples of Honey Chrome’s Garden?

Some staples would include "Guava Cream Cake", "MegaMind", "Strawkanda", and "Mint Cream Cake" . We have over 15+ strains in rotation all hunted in house from seed. Continuously hunting for something special!

Any new strains patients can look forward to?

Grape Amethyst is one of our newest strains we hunted from seed with loud concord grape terps. Coming up soon will be Molotov Skunktail (bred by Weaving Genetics) & Freezer Jam (Bred by Wyeast Farms) from the Living Soil beds. Two strains we think we found potential keepers and this run will determine that.

What products does Honey Chrome Canna currently offer?

We stick to mostly flower, as well as Badder and Live Rosin

Where can patients find Honey Chrome’s products and does HCC offer Direct To Patient sales?

We mostly do Direct to Patient sales in Portland
