BOO!!! Sorry to scare you but it’s the season for tricks and treats. Now that we have gotten the trick out of the way it’s time for the treat! By treat I mean of course the event recap of the O.M.G. It’s a Chronic Halloween presented by The Lion’s Den Glass Shop located at 491 Lawrence St in Lowell, Massachusetts.
The O.M.G. It’s a Chronic Halloween featuring new glass by brothers O.M.G. Glass & Chronic Glass along with live music from Michael Grattarroti, Art from Duva’s Crafts, handmade smoking accessories from Slide Holder Steve along with other various vendors.
Whether you have been collecting heady glass since the days of the Dead parking lot scene or are just getting into it you would find something that catches your eye. O.M.G. Glass is known for his signature “Lucky Ducky’s.” You can always take your luck with you no matter where you go with your Lucky Ducky pendant or even dab pure luck with the Dragon Rig made as a collaborative effort between O.M.G. & Chronic Glass.
Chronic Glass showcased his impressive dragon series which featured the Lucky Ducky, a Clear Dragon, a Gold & Silver fumed Dragon and my personal favorite the Honey Dragon. Any one of these beasts are just waiting to defend your treasure trove of Live Rosin.
There were some frightenedly awesome Halloween themed pieces including a crazy Pennywise Spider piece that you would truly have to see in person to get an accurate representation. There were tons of other Halloween items like Jack o’ Lanterns, Bones, Ghosts and a Cauldron I had to scoop up. I found it to be a truly perfect representation of New England Halloween.
The Lions Den Glass Shop is located in the city of Lowell which is the completely opposite setting of the rural Maine Croptober Event hosted by Sugar Leaf Co in New Portland Maine we visited the following day. Being in a big city the energy was faster paced than a Maine event. OMG glass of course was bringing the good vibes dancing and being his silly self once the music started playing.
The Lions Den and Baked Baker were kind enough to do a free giveaway for a Hitman Iced Coffee Rig & a Lions Den Swag Pack for everyone who came to the event and visited the vendors.
Overall, the event was a good time located at a great glass shop that has a ton of artists from around the area. One thing I would like to say about O.M.G. Glass & Chronic is they are both talented artists and they offer amazing artwork at incredibly fair prices to make heady art affordable and accessible and not just a status symbol. After all Heady Glass was born at a parking lot of a The Grateful Dead concert.
If you are in the market for a new rig or pendant go check their pages for available pieces. Thank you to the host Lions Den and great job OMG and Chronic!!!
