Is weed safe? Yes. But does it have some side effects, also yes. It's undeniable and not really a bad thing. Every action has a reaction right? But being in denial and not taking appropriate action can actually have some long lasting side effects on your health, and this is supposed to be medical right?
One of the more serious side effects of Cannabis all users have faced is the dreaded dry mouth, which is also called xerostomia (ZEER-oh-STOH-mee-ah). It comes on after heavy use or by people who get affected more easily. Some strains are also known to cause it worse than others. This may seem like no big deal and can just be ignored but overtime it can actually cause tooth decay. Why? Well we know what the short term solution we all go to for dry mouth, that delicious ice cold beverage in your fridge or at your local convenience store on your munchie run. This over and over again is a recipe for decay. So be smart and be sure to stay hydrated with lots of water and if you need to you can even chew some gum to promote saliva flow and satisfy that damn second wave of munchies at 2am.
Cannabis smoke also stains your teeth, and dabbing is definitely no exception. In my own experience big dabs can leave your teeth with a sticky coating which is no doubt from the reclaim of the hit. So be sure to "Keep your weed breath by keeping your appointments" as Dirty J says in the song West Coast by Dirty Heads and get your teeth cleaned extra if you are a heavy smoker!
