Dispensary Of The Year: Headies
Headies in Biddeford, Maine is a very special dispensary. Not only does Headies grow award winning “True Craft” Cannabis, but they also have a storefront which carries an impressively curated menu of products. What’s even more impressive is their memory of the patients that come in. They truly care about who they are serving and what they are serving them, and by doing so they make meaningful impacts in their patients lives.
Budtender of The Year: Elsy Leach
Budtenders are very important in Cannabis and are often times not appreciated. A Budtender could change a patients life with one product recommendation or simply not have the passion and that patient will forever live a lower quality of life. It’s a very serious and important position in the Cannabis world.
Elsy Leach of Eclipse Cannabis in Raymond, Maine has shown time and time again that she really cares deeply about the patients she serves and takes time to actually try the products she is serving them to help make good recommendations. Going above and beyond with her kindness she is a fantastic example of what a Budtender should be.
Breeder Of The Year: The Crystal Rose
The Crystal Rose Seed Co. has helped numerous companies such as The Valley Graden bring home awards with their Pie Eye contributions. The Crystal Rose Seed Co. is very well known in the community and always popping up at events.
Glass Artist Of The Year: Cristian (Chaka)
New England is well known for its snow and Chaka is able to capture the Snow in glass form in a very unique way. Whether it be his Frozen Tubes or Pendants you will instantly recognize a Chaka when you see one.
Extractor Of The Year: Blue Sky Labs

Event Of The Year: The Shin Dig (Farmers Union)
The Shin Dig by the Farmers Union was a great event with a lot of care and effort. The Farmers Union is a locally owned grow store in Oxford, Maine. Its extremely important to have a good local grow store that cares about the community and there are becoming fewer and fewer left. The Farmers Union truly cares about the community and it showed with this event.
The Shin Dig brought together growers and patients for a day of fun, food and live music with vending. It may not have been the biggest event but it had a a loooot of heart and soul!
Packaging Of The Year: Ferrocious Farms
Ferrocious Farms went so far above and beyond with their packaging they even had Miron Jars for their Flower. Some say packaging isn’t important but truthfully you can grow the best Cannabis in the world but waste all that hard work by using cheap packaging. Which happens all too often with Mylar Bags that leave your Cannabis squished and worse left with a tin foil like glimmer if left in the heat.
Advertising is one of the ways for artists to make a good living in today’s world while still being creative. The art on the label was good and not over gimmicky as well. It was a great blend of standing out and having an accurate representation of what was inside.

The War on Cannabis has cost innocent veterans lives on both sides, all their potential lost to a meaningless war built upon lies and greed.
Meanwhile those who truly have been dedicated to the healing aspects of the Cannabis plant have never given up. Continuing to operate in the shadows having to grow Cannabis in the upmost secret. Risk so much to just trade your friend some flower that will help their Anxiety or help them sleep at night. Then your friend being nervous and anxious having to risk going to Jail for having a plant that helps them with their Anxiety.
It’s a crazy system that some are still fully in today, while those who are lucky and have put in the hard work to change the laws are still partially dealing with. Cannabis still faces major discrimination in the business world, were legal operators have to face restrictions no other business does.
Through all the years of abuse on Cannabis the community has never given up and is now stronger than ever. The veil of over a century’s worth of propaganda and lies is finally being lifted from the publics eye.
Of course, the fight isn’t over as now corporations are moving in monopolizing the market and put restrictions to limit your access to home grow rights. But History has shown the Cannabis Community will not give up!
